Landscapes in the west of Salalah

Enjoy the scenic beauty in western Salalah

You drive through the picturesque Jabali villages and landscapes, where herds of camels and cattle are a common sight and give the picturesque view additional beauty. Visit the ancient tomb of "Prophet Job", located in the idyllic green mountains of the Salalah plain. Learn more about the legendary story of the Prophet and his piety. Continue west, on the only road leading from Salalah to Yemen.

Stop at Mughsail beach, where the white sand touches the deep blue of the Indian Ocean. Here you can admire the natural seawater fountains at high tide, also known as "Blowholes". Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere by the sea and the sound of the waves amplified by the Marneef Cave. Then drive along the serpentines, with their breathtaking hillsides on either side, to reach one of the most attractive beaches in Dhofar, "Fazayah Beach".

On the way you can see the historic frankincense trees in their natural habitat, where they are the highlight in the valleys of the dry and rugged landscape. Fazayah Beach will be an unforgettable memory of your Oman stay. There are beautiful, golden sands and pristine turquoise waters. The beach is framed by the breathtaking Dhofar Mountains with its charming cliffs combined with the typical desert fauna. Here you have time to swim and relax. Beaches are the best places to get a clear head.
